Following a Strong and Consistent Performance for the entirety of their first season with their new car, MPS and the Team Parker Racing team went into the last round of the 2018 British GT Championship with a significant points lead over their nearest competitors.

Productive prior testing meant the team and drivers turned up to the Donington Park GP circuit with confidence that their AMG GT4 was setup to have the performance to enable them to score the points required to bring the Championship home.
Not requiring a large haul of points in order to secure the Championship, minimal risk taking and top reliability was the order of the weekend – the reliability aided by MPS director Ben Newman’s studying of the systems data produced by the Mercedes’ various Bosch Motorsport Electronics devices in Bosch’s powerful WinDarab Data Analysis software.

With both drivers showing competitive pace during their respected qualifying sessions all attention turned the vital last race of the season.

Expertly avoiding the carnage created by the other championship battle occurring in the GT3 class of the Championship Nick Jones brought the car into the pits after his final stint of the season with no damage and in a points scoring position.
The ever reliable Team Parker Racing, car controlled by MPS’ Ben Newman, performed the necessary re-fuelling and tyre changing operations with plenty of time to spare, allowing Scott Malvern to head back out on track for the final time of the 2018 season without losing any time during the mandatory minimum pit stop time.

Producing another faultless and competitive drive that the Pro driver is notorious for, Scott drove his way through his final hour stint without incident and took the chequered flag in a position which scored the team more than enough points to be crowned British GT Class Champions for the 2018 season!

This huge achievement in the highly competitive Championship was made even more special as the team were the only ones in their class to score points at every round of the Championship, in this their first season racing the new AMG GT4!
