MPS are delighted to continue on with TPR and their BTCC programme as the team retains it past BTCC race winner Stephen Jelley for another season in 2019 with their proven WSR developed BMW 1 Series.

Local lad Stephen is keen to continue developing on strong performances achieved at the end of the 2018 season as the engineering team and driver got to grips with the new to them BMW 1 series.
The admittedly small and lower budget operation already punched above their weight as they took a podium at Knockhill against strong, high budget manufacturer competition at the Knockhill circuit in 2018 and they hope to carry on this level of performance with many more visits to the prestigious BTCC podium and consistent points scoring finishes in the ever competitive top level British Tin Top race series.

MPS will continue to provide the team with systems/data/performance engineering services as we work with the Cosworth Electronics Motorsport systems which are mandatory under the championship’s NGTC regulations – an electronics package that MPS director Ben Newman proudly worked on during his previous employment with Cosworth Electronics.

MPS and TPR fans can continue to follow our progress live on terrestrial TV as the championship continues it’s long standing Live race day partnership with ITV4.
