MPS were delighted to finally be part of a team involved with a BTCC race win as they and the Team Parker Racing BTCC squad watched their driver Stephen Jelley finally bag a Winners trophy after his return to the Championship.

Competing at the notoriously difficult Oulton Park circuit TPR and Jelley had been competitive all weekend, the small independent outfit consistently challenging the much bigger and better funded manufacturer teams as they achieved a well balanced and agile Race Car Setup.

Strong performances in the opening races of the weekend meant Jelley scored some great Championship points and positioned himself to be in contention as the reverse grid for Race 3 was drawn.
With a strong starting position towards the front of the grid, Stephen battled heroically as he kept himself in a podium position.
With a mistake from Butcher gifting Stephen second place, the TPR driver pushed the race leader, Jake Hill, all the way to the chequered flag where the BMW 1 series finished in 2nd position on the road.

However, following an investigation by the clark of the course, Jake Hill was found to have acted illegally early on in the race, pushing a competitor off of the track in order to get himself into his front running position.
The 20 second post race penalty which was applied saw Hill tumble down the final finishing order and promoting MPS & TPR’s man Stephen Jelley into the race winner’s position!

A hard fought result in the most competitive race championship in the UK which was well enjoyed and celebrated by MPS & the whole TPR squad.
